Greek food halloumi pita

Greece – Halloumi pita (vegetarian)

2 persons – 4,40 € per person

Make the tzatziki:

  1. Grate the cucumber, dehydrate and drain:
    • 1 cucumber
    • salt
    • vinegar
  2. Combine with the rest of the ingredients:
    • 250 ml yoghurt
    • 2 garlic gloves
    • olive oil
    • cilantro

Blend the avocado hummus:

  • 200 g chickpeas
  • 50 ml tahini
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 garlic gloves
  • 1 roasted chili
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • smoked paprika
  • cumin
  • coriander

Make the onion salad:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • sugar
  • oregano

Deepfry the halloumi breaded (~ 5 min / ~ 150 C):

  • 200 g halloumi cheese
  • flour

Serve with:

  • pita bread / tortilla
  • cilantro
