Chicken stew from Ivory Coast Poulet Kedjenou

Ivory Coast – Poulet Kedjenou

3 persons – 3,80 € per person

Prepare the Chicken Kedjenou:

  1. Boil (~ 20 min):
    • 1000 g chicken
    • 1 eggplant
    • 2 bell peppers
    • 2 onions
    • 2 tomatoes
    • 1 habanero
    • water
    • salt
  2. Remove the vegetables and simmer the chicken (~ 50 min)
  3. Blend the boiled vegetables and add them back 
  4. Add the spices:
    • 2 garlic gloves
    • 1 crushed gloves
    • salt
    • pepper
    • garlic powder
    • paprika
    • 1 chicken stock
  5. Simmer all of the ingredients (~ 45 min)

Cook the rice (~ 15min):

  • 3 dl rinsed rice
  • 6 dl water
  • salt
