Senegal – Poulet yassa

2 persons – 4,60 € per person

Make the chicken:

  1. Marinade (~ 8 – 24 hrs):
    • 650 g chicken legs
    • 4 onions
    • 2 lemons
    • 3 garlic gloves
    • 1 jalapeno
    • (dijon) mustard
    • white wine vinegar
    • beef stock cube (without liquid)
    • 2 bay leaves
    • salt
    • pepper
    • cajun spices (cayenne, paprika, garlic, white pepper)
  2. Fry (~ 10 min):
    • the chicken
    • oil
  3. Fry (~ 10 min):
    • the marinade (onions, jalapeno, garlic, spices)
  4. Add some liquid and roast in the oven (~ 2 h / ~ 175 C)

Make the couscous (~ 5 min):

  • 3 dl couscous
  • 3 dl water
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cumin
  • lemon balm

Serve with:

  • tomato
  • lemon
