Sri Lankan beetroot curry

Sri Lanka – Beetroot Curry

4 persons – 3,40 € per person

Make the beetroot curry:

  1. Simmer (~15 min):
    • 800 g beetroots
    • 2 onions
    • 2 chilis
    • garam masala
    • cumin
    • turmeric
    • coriander
    • caraway
    • salt
    • water
  2. Simmer (~ 10 min):
    • 1 bunch basil
    • 1 bunch cilantro
    • 2 garlic gloves
    • 200 ml coconut milk

Cook the rice:

  • 4 dl basmati rice
  • 8 dl water
  • salt
  • 3 star aniseed

Make the pineapple salad:

  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 lime
  • 300 g pineapple
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • chili

  1. I’m not sure exactly why but this blog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
